Hi all
You may have seen my intro post, but my 36yo husband had a failed endoscopy which has to be redone under GA. The results they got from the failed procedure were “hiatus hernia and probable Barrett’s”. I had been looking into changing life insurance policy before the procedure, however fear we are in a position now where no one will take us until the results are in. Does anyone have experience of getting life insurance with Barrett’s, in the U.K.?
Thanks
Fiona

Usually until you get results you won't get insurance until the results are in.

With barrets, I've struggled to get critical illness cover unless the insurer 'exlcudes all cancers', i think life is generally OK. I have a contact that has recently managed to get me a critical illness with no exclusions but they have 'rated me' by increasing the premium 50%. Worth it for peace of mind. If you want their details - send me a PM
