I was recently asked what I do with my time - particularly as I hadn't been so active on the forum and it had been suggested I may take on some extra tasks for another charity.
This was my response:

Jobs done and to do.
16 May 2014

With no secretary presently, I have to cover that role in addition to my own.

Too soon after op to help man stand at Cuckoo fayre. (Fortunately our responsible committee member is OK to man it by herself.)
510 agreed invitation letters printed, stuffed into envelopes, stamped and delivered to hospital for addressing and posting.
Post cheque for another 6 entrants for Great South Run.
Order T-shirts and running vests for runners.
Design and print poster for BOC London 10K runners. Design and order T-shirts.
Prepare presentation for Parliamentary dinner for Monday.
Design and order materials for BW birthday.
Prepare annual reports for HMRC, Charity Commission and AGM.
Prepare newsletter. Print and post 50 copies to those without email by 23 May.
Update website.
Reviews BOC fundraisers.
Prepare new BOC fundraising page and submit to webmaster for uploading.
Send vouchers to runners and register on-line.
Register BOC London runner.
Prepare stand and display for Burley event 17th May. (Will need to man this solo. Committee member who'd normally do this is on holiday. Another sustained a sports injury and cannot help and the other has family commitment. We don't ask our consultants to work unless they volunteer.)
Prepare materials for Quiz Night (20th May). Confirm gastroenterologists, nurses etc are providing teams.
Daily review the on-line forums and facebook groups I oversee or moderate.
Daily assess the various abstracts of research papers just published.

Remember it's less than 2 weeks from major surgery. I get tired quickly.
I've just started gentle exercise regime building towards regular 1 mile a day walks until I'm allowed to cycle (in another 2 weeks).

It can be a full time job sometimes!
