Following my recent diagnosis i saw my GP to discuss. he didn`t seem too bothered, no mention of dysplasia in the report, so he assumes there is none, said to make sure i get my endoscopy in 3 years, purely surveillance, get my weight down and cut out foods that cause acid.

He agreed risks are small, but my lifetime risk is higher than some as i am only 43, and most stats are based on this being an over 50s condition.

in short, go home, don`t worry, see you again in 3 years !

Should i push to get a definite "no dysplasia" comment, or should i assume that as it is not mentioned at all, and the specialist isn`t too concerned either, that there is none ?

Dave, for your own peace of mind, get it in writing.  On all of my husband's reports it has said "No dysplasia identified".
