Would staying off the meds for ten days prior to the scope cause chronic inflammation?

Reason being just jogged my memory I was told to stop meds 10 days prior so they have a true picture.

How will I never know that those 10 days off the meds was what caused the chronic inflammation I was told I had. Is 10 days enough to cause it to be chronic or is it generally caused over a longer time frame?

Hi!

It is usually recommended to stay on the meds before the scope so the biopsies are easier to identify. I have never been told to come off them beforehand.

The exception was the pH monitoring where they needed a representative view of the acid levels.
