I was diagnosed with Barrettís / hiatal hernia/ gastritis/ last September.
Still trying to get rid of the ache in my stomach . 6 weeks ago Dr put me on Esomeprazole 40 mg per day , resulting in better acid control but bad bloating. I have now reduced down myself to 20 mg per day and feel much better. Unfortunately , I still have a bloated upper stomach area although Iím only a 35 ď waist, looks ridiculous . Sorry to ramble ..my question to anyone who can help is the benefit they may have found trying activated charcoal , available from health shops and on line. Iíve read it helps bloating really well. Can it be used with a ppi? My Daughters wedding in 4 weeks so trying to avoid suit alterations !! Appreciate any input ..best wishes all..

Activated charcoal absorbs excess carbon dioxide gas. Never tried it myself but it should be OK with PPIs.
A tip I use for gas bloat is to sip carbonated water to produce a controlled burp, with the body upright.
