Hi Richard,

At the time I suggested the chat section, I wasn't thinking of live chat but just a section where members could post about other things than their Barrett's concerns.
We'd had some friendly banter and jokes and I'd just thought it could be a place where we could exchange other info if necessary.

Hi Chris,

I agree it's an excellent idea.  Its especially important to be able to talk to people who have gone through this themselves.

As you may be aware I am due to have my surgery on "Election Day" I am going for my pre-op tomorrow.  I have to say the nearer I get to having it done the more nervous I am.  I did keep in touch with Siobhan but no-one has heard from her for a while which is unnerving as she was really positive and made me feel less nervous.

I have no idea what to expect after the surgery and how long it will be before I can eat normally although I do expect to be eating a lot less than before the operation. so a general chat would always be a good idea.

Just to let you all know, there is now a "General Forum" area on the site for non condition related posts.

Obviously if we get anyone spamming, please let me know and we'll hunt them down Wink
