I received similar advice. When I discussed having the fundoplication repair, my surgeon said it was more complicated than the original fundoplication because they have to undo any remnants of the previous wrap first including scar tissue that will have formed and don't know what they'll find till they get in there.

When I asked his opinion about LINX he said it would not be appropriate for someone who's already had a fundoplication.

Ther used to be concerns with LINX regarding migration - that it may not stay where it was intended to. For that reason it was not considered suitable for Barrett's patients until just over a year ago. Likewise, because you have magnets implanted in the body, they thought MRI scans would be impossible and if one were to become necessary, the device would need to be removed first. However they now know it is safe for low power MRI scans.

17 days without PPIs. Im feeling abit better now some of the side effects have gone. Energy levels are increasing, bloating, flatulence decreasing. Im calmer more relaxed and no paraesthesia or sleepiness. Still getting some palpitations though.
I've an appointment for a double ended endoscopy ( up and down ) weds, not looking forward to that. Though I can do with a good clear out...laxative wise..
Heart burn bad though, am getting some relief from an old friend I used in my teens, before zantac and omeprazole....Trebor extra strong mints.
