    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.barrettscampaign.org.uk/forum//member_profile.asp?PF=899">Ray56</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> Another Gastroscopy<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 05 Feb 2012 at 7:37am<br /><br /><!--bmi_SafeAdd&#079;nload(bmi_load,"bmi_orig_img",1);//-->Got a letter yesterday(Sat 4th Feb) telling me that there are prominent areas in my oesophagus which another consultant gastroenterologist wants to re-assess with another gastroscopy.&nbsp; During my first gastroscopy (taken on 22nd Dec 2011) two biopsies were taken from polyps (1 was 10mm, other was 15mm) in my lower oesophagus, am thinking these are the 'prominent areas' that he refers too.&nbsp; Waiting for a date now to get it done.]]>

You need to get your GP to complete and sign the relevant form for you to give to the shop at the time of purchase. That will save you a considerable amount.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;No doubt someone will correct me if I've got this information wrong!<br /><br />Suzy]]>

I am starting year three since I was told I have Barrett's Oesophagus.  like everyone on this site It scared the crap out of me.  I had never heard of this prior and then found myself learning a new lingo...some very scary words.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Researching a condition uncommon to my social group and feeling very much alone. Until I found this page.<br /><br />I no longer worrie and look forward to my last annual scope... I am positive I will hear see you in two years.  ]]>

I know you are having hassles with these people but I would have done anything to avoid 6 weeks&nbsp;on a ventilator and 6 months in hopsital. And that was having been lucky to catch the cancer fairly quickly. My HGD only appeared two months before the cancer did. <DIV>It is worth fighting.</DIV>]]>
